Announcement: Summer School – Deep Learning for Language Analysis #7 (2024)

We are very pleased that we can once again offer a summer school in ‘Deep Learning for Language Analysis’. The Summer School will take place from 17 to 19 September and there will again be two parallel tracks on processing audio and text data. In the text track this year, the focus is more on LLMs and prompting. The programme will be complemented by two keynotes and a social in a brewery.

For the 6th year in a row: The Summer School Deep Learning for Language Analysis 2023

This year’s Deep Learning Summer School will take place at the University of Cologne from 11 to 14 September. Compared to the last years we have slightly adjusted the program in order to – besides an introduction to Deep Learning techniques applied to different data types (text and audio) – also give language analysis a fixed place in the school.

Finally, not just in front of the screen again: #DL4LASS 2022

In Cologne it feels like autumn has arrived and somehow fittingly our Summer School “Deep Learning for Language Analysis #DL4LASS” came to an end. In fact, we were able to celebrate the fifth edition of this event this year and we managed – after two online years – also to return to the University of Cologne campus. Since one always forgets the impressions so quickly, I would like to report briefly here on the rather entertaining – and hopefully also instructive – week.
